Embark on a 16-day Trans-Himalayan journey linking three iconic destinations: Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. Begin in Lhasa, exploring Drepung and Sera Monasteries, the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor pilgrimage circuit, with time to acclimatise at high altitude.

Cross the Tibetan plateau via the turquoise shores of Yamdrok Lake and historic Shigatse before travelling on to Tingri and North Everest Base Camp, where you can enjoy close-up views of Mount Everest and a spectacular Himalayan sunrise (weather permitting). Descend through the greener Kyirong Valley and cross into Nepal, continuing through river gorges and terraced hillsides to Kathmandu.

In Nepal, discover the cultural treasures of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares, the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, and the great stupas of Swayambhunath and Boudhanath. Then fly along the Himalayas to Bhutan, landing in Paro. Hike to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), visit Kyichu Lhakhang, and explore Thimphu’s chortens, giant Buddha statue, markets and monasteries.

Travel over Dochula Pass with panoramic mountain views into the lush Punakha Valley, where you’ll walk through rice fields and riverside trails, visit Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple), Punakha Dzong and a local nunnery. Return to Paro via Simtokha Dzong and the National Museum (Ta Dzong) for a final evening farewell dinner before departing from Paro International Airport.

Himalaya Tour: A Real 32-Day Story from Nepal to Bhutan

Himalaya Tour: A Real 32-Day Story from Bhutan to Tibet

Their 32-day Himalaya Tour is what happened next, across three countries, on us at Experience Tibet. What many first-time travelers do not realize is that the route matters as much as the destinations. Their 32-day Himalaya Tour
