Day 1: Kathmandu to Nepal Border

Depart from Kathmandu on a scenic drive to the China-Nepal border. Enjoy views of the snow-capped Himalayas and lush forests.

Check into your hotel in the border town to prepare for your entry into Tibet.

Day 2: Kyirong (2,800m) Acclimatization Day

Rest and adapt to the altitude of the Tibetan Plateau.

Explore the border area with a visit to a large chain bridge, enjoy a gentle hike through local villages, and take in the serene beauty of the Kyirong Valley.

Day 3: Kyirong → Everest Base Camp(5,200m) → Tingri(4,200m), 410km/8 hrs

Travel to the legendary Everest Base Camp (5,200m), passing the stunning Pekutso Lake and the majestic Shishapangma peak.

From the Gawula Viewpoint, witness a panoramic spectacle of the world’s highest peaks, including Mount Everest.

Day 4: Tingri → Shigatse(3,600m), 240km/5 hrs

Drive to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama.

Day 5:Shigatse → Yamdrotso Lake(4,990m) → Lhasa(3,650m), 360km / ~8 hrs

Journey to Lhasa via Gyantse, where you will visit the unique Pelkor Monastery. See the breathtaking Karola Glacier and be mesmerized by the turquoise waters of the sacred Yamdrotso Lake.

Visit a local family for a unique farmhouse lunch and enjoy a panoramic view of the lake from the mountain pass.

Day 6: Lhasa City Sightseeing Monastic Debate

Explore Lhasa’s great monasteries. In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery, once one of the world’s largest.

In the afternoon, witness the lively philosophical monks’ debate at Sera Monastery.

Day 7: Lhasa Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple

Ascend the iconic Potala Palace, a monumental symbol of Tibet. Experience local life at a park beneath the palace.

Then, visit the spiritual center of Tibet, the Jokhang Temple, and immerse yourself in the pilgrim atmosphere of Barkor Street. Relax like a local in a traditional sweet tea house.

Day 8: Lhasa Departure Journey's End
