Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa

Welcome to Lhasa, the spiritual capital of Tibet. Upon arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or railway station, your Tibetan English-speaking guide and driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

The rest of the day is free for rest and acclimatization. Drink plenty of water and take time to adjust to the high altitude.

After breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, once the largest monastery in Tibet and one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism.

Begin your journey westward through spectacular Tibetan landscapes.

Cross the Gampa La Pass (4,797m) and enjoy panoramic views of the turquoise Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet’s most sacred lakes. Continue to Karola Glacier, where you can admire the dramatic beauty of glaciers and snow-covered mountains.

Visit Gyantse, including Pelkor Chode Monastery and Kumbum Stupa, famous for its incredible Tibetan Buddhist artwork.

Continue to Shigatse, Tibet’s second-largest city.

Driving distance: Approx. 334 km | 7–8 hours

Today travel toward one of the greatest highlights of Tibet: Everest Base Camp.

Cross high mountain passes including Gyatso La Pass (5,220m) and Pang La Pass (5,150m), where you can enjoy spectacular views of Himalayan peaks including Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.

Arrive at Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world, located beneath the northern face of Mount Everest. Take the eco-bus to Everest Base Camp viewpoint and enjoy unforgettable views of the world’s highest mountain.

Driving distance: Approx. 300 km | 7–8 hours

Wake up early to enjoy sunrise views over Mount Everest.
